Florida Power and Light has restored power to the two major power lines that went down earlier today. Traffic signals should be operational now.
However, drivers should continue to use caution and, if a signal remains out, treat the intersection as a four-way stop.
A major power outage has spread throughout the City of Vero Beach, knocking out all traffic signals at major intersections.
The Vero Beach Police Department encourages drivers to avoid affected intersections if possible. Those who cannot are reminded to treat all affected intersections as 4-way stops.
Florida Power Light is on the scene and has told Police that it could take up to 2 hours to restore power.
