Elvira Takacs Douville, 96, Vero Beach
Elvira Takacs Douville, 96, of Vero Beach, died Nov. 20, 2019, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. Elvira was born in Buffalo, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for 64 years coming from her birth place.
She was a graduate of the St. Mary’s Business School, Buffalo, N.Y.
Elvira retired in 1985 from the City of Vero Beach as a Personnel Assistant.
She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
Survivors include her daughter and her husband, Cynthia Kendall and Fred Carver, of Fort Pierce; grandson, Michael James Carver, of Vero Beach; granddaughters, Carissa Kim Carver, of Fort Pierce, and Jaime Carver, of Tampa; and great-grandchildren, Adelie and Briella.
Elvira was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Vernon Charles Douville; and her brother, James Takacs, Jr.
Memorial contributions may be made to Oceans Unite Christian Centre in memory of Elvira Takacs Douville. Place her name on the memo-line.
Visitation will be held 11 a.m. – Noon, Friday, Nov. 29, at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach.
Funeral services will begin at Noon in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach.
Yvonne Victoria Schultz Gibson, 74, formerly of Vero Beach
Yvonne Victoria Schultz Gibson, 74, passed away at Melbourne Terrace Center in Melbourne, Fla., on Friday Nov. 22, 2019. Yvonne was born May 7, 1945, in Ann Arbor, Mich., to Charles and Helen Schultz.
She moved to the gulf coast of Florida in her early years, and resided in Vero Beach prior to moving to Melbourne Terrace.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, David Gibson, of Logan, W. Va.; and her eldest daughter, Glenda McCullum, of Haleyville, Ala.
She is survived by her remaining children, David Bauder, of Palm Coast, Fla., Angela Rishel, of Vero Beach, and Melissa Wildner, of Westminster, Colo., and Davette Scott, of Vero Beach; and her grandchildren, Brian, Cross, Storm, Patience, Ridley, Jordan, Clay, Alex, Stephen, and Tyler.
Visitation will be held at Seawinds Funeral Home, Sebastian, on Tuesday, Nov. 26 from Noon to 2 p.m., with the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Seth Goldsmith, of Coastal Community Church, officiating.
Robert W. Rogers III, 29, Sebastian
Robert W. Rogers III, 29, of Sebastian, passed away Nov. 15, 2019. He was born Oct. 16, 1990, in Melbourne, Fla., to Robert, Jr. and Claudine Rogers, of Sebastian.
Robbie will be sadly missed by his parents, siblings, Jon and Kaitlyn Rogers; his grandparents; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
I love you Robbie and will remember you as you were in my life and hope you have found peace. Love, Mom & Dad.
