Christmas Tree Lane, the annual holiday bazaar and cookie/bake sale at First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach, will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Organized by the Presbyterian Women, this is the 65th season for this major fundraiser, which raised more than $16,000 for various charities last year.
The one-day event will be held in the church’s Christian Life Center at 520 Royal Palm Boulevard, just off Indian River Boulevard. Admission is free and parking ample.
Christmas Tree Lane’s many boutiques will be conveniently located on the Center’s main floor. The largest, the Unique Boutique, will feature a vast selection of bargain-priced items – both nearly-new & new – including beautiful crystal, some furniture, housewares, handbags, and jewelry as well as holiday decorations.
An Artisans’ Gallery will showcase the creative handicrafts of local artists. Alice McKenna returns with her exquisite custom jewelry. From the Main Street Vero Beach Studios and Gallery will be hand-painted glassware and accessories by Barbara Sharp and custom jewelry by Clair Brunetti. Other artisan crafts include Pat DeRobertis’ silk scarves, Lisa Hanlin’s original pet art and Shelby Ratelle’s soy-scented candles.
Sandy Renoso from Kaleidoscope will be available for Fairy Hair.
Handmade Treasures will feature colorful beach bags and wine bags, cloth baskets and handbags, and calming fidget quilts for Alzheimer’s patients – all created by the Presbyterian Women’s own talented members. Cookies-by-the-Pound will tempt you with scrumptious homemade cookies, while Mrs. Claus’ Pantry will be stocked with home-baked cakes, pies, and fruit breads and other homemade specialties, such as jams and pickles. Fresh Louisville Pecans will be available as well.
The event will feature two raffle items: a beautiful handmade quilt and a $500 gift card tree.
New this year is The Bistro, offering coffee and assorted pastries from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and limited lunch seating from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
