Supervisor of Elections Office to offer candidate workshop Nov. 20

The Indian River County Supervisor of Elections will be hosting a Candidate Workshop in preparation for the 2020 election cycle. Individuals interested in running for public office can learn what is required to become a candidate.

The class will be offered on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Supervisor of Elections office, 4375 43rd Ave., Vero Beach.

The two-hour complimentary workshop will provide important information about filing and qualifying for office, and campaigning for elective office.

“Candidate workshops are open to first-time candidates, campaign managers, campaign treasurers, long-standing incumbents, members of the public, or anyone interested in the campaign process,” said Leslie Swan, Supervisor of Elections. “Election laws are constantly changing, and it is imperative that candidates and campaign treasurers are familiar with the most up-to-date election laws.”

Interested parties must register for the candidate workshop no later than Friday, Nov. 15, by emailing [email protected] or calling (772) 226-3440.
