Dignity Voices Podcast…A Look Behind The Scenes of The Source & A Whole Lot More

The Source, Indian River County’s premier non-profit organization who successfully addresses the complex needs of the poor and homeless in our community, is continuing their expansion of new programs and services in the community they serve.

As lifestyle trends keep changing, The Source is not far behind. They are now digging their heels into today’s broadcast technology with the construction and outfitting of a new state-of-the art Podcast studio located at their Dignity Ranch campus in Indian River County. Their all new audio and video “Dignity Voices Podcasts” are currently being aired online by visiting The Source’s website: https://www.iamthesource.org/dignity-voices-podcast

While you are there check out the online form to fill out to be a subscriber and stay in touch on a regular basis. Also see the sign up form to receive The Source’s monthly Dignity Newsletter.

What is a Podcast? Simply put, a podcast is a series of topics or themes on audio and sometimes video programs that you can connect to on your smartphone, computer, or any other suitable device, and listen to it whenever you like.

“Dignity Voices Podcasts” may be something new at The Source, but it’s their own way of letting their audience know more about what is happening with The Source, info about their incredible slate of programs offered to their members, and guest speakers who will share their world with you remotely from their on-site studio. And important to note, it’s another tool for members to learn a trade in helping to produce the technical end of the show or even taking a stab at being a host interviewer on any particular subject!

Several “Dignity Voices Podcasts” are now available to watch and include an up and close chat with Mayor John Cotugno about the partnership between The City of Vero Beach and The Source.

An exciting visit from Jeffrey Weissman from the iconic film “Back to the Future,” who is both an interesting entertainer and a strong supporter of non-profits across the nation, sits in-studio for a session.

You can learn all about the “Dignity Smiles” program with Dr. Tom Balshi and Dr. Adam Jones of Premier Dental in Vero Beach, as they explore how the program works in bringing dignity to qualified Source members who have worked hard to transform their lives through dental restoration. Kyle, one of the Source members, shares his story about the dental restoration he received through “Dignity Smiles.”

The Source’s Dignity Wellness Program, led by Licensed Mental Health Counselor Charlene Morris, speaks out about the organization’s mental health program which previously received a grant from Impact 100.

Upcoming podcasts include Matt Tanner-Executive Director from United Against Poverty Indian River, members of Communities Under The Bridge in San Antonio taped a podcast while visiting from their homeless center in May and more local leaders and people behind the scenes of the Source are planned for the future.

The podcasts are sponsored in part by Suzanne Chesser. Local individuals and businesses are invited to become a sponsor to help support the program and will be recognized as such within a podcast segment. Sponsorships are available by contacting Jonathan Orozco GPC, Development Director of The Source, via email: [email protected], or calling 772-564-0202.

I am Ministries DBA The Source, is a Christian social outreach ministry that has been empowering communities into a lifestyle of service for the homeless, needy and families of Indian River County (IRC) since 1995.  Local residents in need may visit their full-service reSource Center to become a member, receive a membership card, and begin their journey to restoring their lives. In doing so, The Source provides a wide range of Dignity Programs, housing through the Dignity Bus Mobile Shelters and other nearby housing facilities, restaurant-style hot meals, clothing provisions, counseling services, support groups, hygiene amenities, access to showers, mail and telephone facilities, and referrals for benefits through core programs and services that instill a sense of community. Their goal is to move individuals from a membership to a neighborship while eradicating homelessness in Indian River County. For more information, feel free to navigate through the new website: www.iamthesource.org, or email Anthony Zorbaugh: [email protected], or [email protected].
