What and Where: Located in Disney’s Vero Beach Resort on A1A, Wind & Waves is an airy restaurant with a nautical décor and an open kitchen. As you might guess, this is a very kid-friendly place to bring visiting grandchildren. But the food is good, the desserts very good, and service (as you might also expect) is excellent.

Overall Verdict: If you live north of Wabasso in 32963, and want something other than pizza for dinner, Wind & Waves is your nearest choice. And local regulars can often be found enjoying a relatively simple meal alongside Disney hotel guests. The short menu, supplemented each night by a half dozen specials, leans toward seafood. On a recent night, specials included a roasted swordfish (cooked perfectly) as catch of the day and a tasty oak-grilled pork chop.
