VERO BEACH — Officers continued to search for two men who they said installed a skimming device at a TD Bank automated teller machine last week. Police released surveillance images of the suspects one day after the incident and requested the public’s help in identifying the men.
Vero Beach police said the men were captured on video about 10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18 positioning the device on an ATM at the TD Bank. The bank is located at 4100 20th Street east of 43rd Avenue and south of the Jackie Robinson Training Complex.
“The footage showed the subjects placing the device in the cash-retrieval area,” Vero Beach police officers said in a statement. “No suspect vehicle information is available at this time.”
Officers described the suspects as white men in their mid-30s and about 5-feet 9-inches tall.
The first suspect was described as having a slim build with dark colored hair and facial hair. Police said the man was wearing a light-colored jacket, dark pants and carrying a small shoulder bag.
The second suspect was described as having a heavy build with red facial hair and a tattoo on his right forearm. Officers said the suspect was wearing a white T-shirt, a tan sleeveless vest and a light-colored hat.
Anyone with information on the suspects’ whereabouts should contact police Det. Gio Fonseca at 772-978-4667 or [email protected].
