Vero Beach, FL – Thrive IRC is pleased to announce the appointment of Nancy Lynch as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors. Lynch officially assumed the role in January 2026, bringing a strong background in nonprofit leadership and a deep personal commitment to Thrive’s mission.
“I found my passion and my place the minute I walked through the doors,” said Lynch. “Thrive’s focus on prevention, education, and recovery in the field of substance use and behavioral health disorders aligns exactly with where I need to be at this moment in time.”
As Board Chair, Lynch envisions a high-performing board with renewed energy and focus. Thrive recently completed a rebrand and relocated to a new, more efficient facility. Lynch sees this as a pivotal moment to increase community awareness of Thrive’s outstanding prevention and substance abuse treatment programs for both youth and adults.
Lynch succeeds Chief David Curry, who served as Board Chair with distinction. “We are incredibly grateful to Chief Curry for his leadership and dedication,” said Lynch. “He helped build a strong foundation for Thrive and positioned the organization for continued growth and impact.”
With decades of experience in the nonprofit sector and personal lived experience related to addiction, Lynch brings both professional expertise and authentic passion to her new role. “Strong governance, responsible stewardship of resources, and measurable outcomes are essential to fulfilling our mission,” she added.
On behalf of Thrive’s board and staff, Lynch expressed gratitude to the community for its continued support. “Your investment fuels progress, strengthens our impact, and inspires my own passion for this work.”
