FELLSMERE — A 25-year-old Idaho man died after his sports car veered off the interstate and slammed into a tree Monday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The single-vehicle crash involving a 2023 Subaru BRZ happened about 6:42 a.m. along northbound Interstate 95 near mile marker 151. Troopers said the unidentified man was headed north in the outside lane, north of State Road 60.
For an unknown reason, the car veered off the roadway to the right in a northeastern direction and onto the east grass shoulder. The vehicle then struck a tree, troopers said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to troopers.
