What and Where: No name. No phone. No sign. None of that deters fans of Kitty Wagner’s cooking, who pack her latest restaurant night after night. Only the “48” on the door of a strip mall on Royal Palm Point – and the pink cat in the window (a kitty, get it) which is lighted when Chef Kitty’s kitchen is open – lets searchers know they have found the Vero mainland’s best dining.
Ambiance/Atmosphere: While dining, you can watch Kitty cook.
Must-Try Dishes: The warm berry crisp is a great finish.
Adult Beverages: No bar. Very interesting selection of wines.

Overall Verdict: From our first meal at the Blue Starfish on Bourgainvillea Drive 20 years ago, we knew we were onto something special. And we have followed dining entrepreneur Kitty – now on her sixth restaurant – ever since. Whether it’s scallops, swordfish, rack of lamb or seared duck, her dishes – all exquisitely prepared – are simply wonderful.
