INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Deputies are asking for the public’s help in finding a 43-year-old man last seen more than a week ago at Miami International Airport. The man – identified by sheriffs’ officials as Bobby Reed – was described as endangered by authorities.
Reed, of Vero Beach, was last seen on Sept. 3 at the Miami airport, according to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said Reed planned to travel to Orlando and then take an Uber home to Vero Beach.
Reed was traveling by himself, said Lt. Kevin Jaworski, a spokesperson for the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff’s officials posted a flyer to social media on Saturday notifying the public of Reed’s disappearance.
Jaworski said deputies were waiting confirmation from airline officials on if Reed made it to Orlando. Reed is described as 5-feet 8-inches tall, weighing 160 pounds with a bald head and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on Reed’s whereabouts should contact sheriff’s Detective Dennis McKenzie at 772-978-6240 or [email protected]. Callers can also remain anonymous by contacting Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273-TIPS or tcwatch.org.
