Riverside Theatre is gearing up for a weekend of laughter. The Comedy Zone returns with headliner Andy Forrester, whose off-the-wall humor and self-deprecating style have made him a fan favorite since 1999. Known affectionately as Big “A,” Forrester blends animated storytelling with relatable family life anecdotes. Over his career, he has worked alongside comedy greats such as Louie Anderson, Marc Maron, Kevin Pollak, Gilbert Gottfried and Rita Rudner. Sharing the stage with Forrester is feature act Vinnie Ward, whose quick wit and humor once earned him the label of “class clown.” Ward has toured internationally, entertained audiences on cruise ships, and gained millions of views on social media. He was a finalist in the 2016 Florida’s Funniest competition and a performer at the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival in 2018. The Comedy Zone shows begin at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, and Saturday, Aug. 30. Table seats are $25 and side seats are $15. Doors open at 6 p.m. for dinner service. For ticket information, call the Riverside Theatre box office at 772-231-6990 or visit RiversideTheatre.com.

In addition to the standup comics, Riverside is also offering improv comedy with the well-known SAK Comedy Lab. The group presents Duel of Fools at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, in which two teams of professional improvisers compete. The King of the Hill improv competition begins at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28. Both shows offer table seats for $25 and side seats for $15. Tickets can be purchased by calling 772-231-6990.

The cultural hub also has the Live in the Loop free outdoor concerts this weekend. These family-friendly events take place under the oak trees from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and feature a full bar and grill starting at 5 p.m. On Thursday, Aug. 28, the Shepherd-N-Green Duo will deliver high-energy Motown and rhythm and blues classics. Friday, Aug. 29, Jupiter Rock Farm takes the stage with a mix of classic rock, ’80s pop, country and contemporary hits covering artists such as Bon Jovi, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Prince and the Rolling Stones. Saturday, Aug. 30, Hi Mileage closes the weekend with powerhouse vocals and classic rock favorites that keep audiences dancing until the final note. Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the music, though outside food, coolers, and drinks are not permitted. Admission is free. Riverside Theatre is at 2350 Riverside Park Dr., Vero Beach. Call 772-231-6990 or visit RiversideTheatre.com for more information.
