The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra presents “Romantic Reflections” at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 13, at First Presbyterian Church, 520 Royal Palm Blvd., Vero Beach. This special chamber music concert will showcase the talents of Carey Moorman, the orchestra’s concertmaster and first violinist, along with Joni Roos on violin, Michael de Jesus on viola and David Calhoun on cello. The program includes Felix Mendelssohn’s String Quartet No. 4 in E minor, composed in 1837 and dedicated to the Crown Prince of Sweden, as well as Franz Schubert’s String Quartet No. 15 in G major, written in 1826 and published posthumously. The program promises to highlight the expressive power and depth of the early Romantic era, with Schubert’s work described by scholars as “hauntingly transcendent.” Admission is free, with a suggested donation of $15. For details, call 855-252-7276 or visit SpaceCoastSymphony.org.
