Kathryn Mary Moran, 80, Vero Beach

Kathryn Mary Moran, age 80, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on June 17, 2025, at Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce, Florida,
Born on July 30, 1944, in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, Kathryn was the beloved daughter of the late Kathryn McDonough Kelly and Paul Kelly. A lifelong learner and dedicated educator, she earned her bachelor’s degree from College Misericordia in Dallas, PA in 1967 and her master’s degree from Marywood University in 1974.
For more than 30 years, Kathryn served the Carbondale Area School District as an elementary, middle school teacher and reading specialist. She was passionate about literacy and education, and her work left a lasting impact on generations of students.
Kathryn was a woman of deep faith and active service. She was a longtime member of both St. Rose of Lima Church in Carbondale and Holy Cross Church in Vero Beach. She served both parishes as a lector and Eucharistic Minister and was a former president of the St. Rose Women’s Guild.
Kathryn will be remembered for her unwavering faith, generous heart, and deep love for her family, friends, and community. She was also active in her community, participating in the Carbondale News Club, numerous book clubs, and the Vista Gardens Table Talk group. Kathryn had a gift for conversation, hospitality and was happiest when entertaining family and friends.
Above all, Kathryn was devoted to her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, John Moran, Sr.; her children: Kelly Moran Quinn, John Moran Jr., and spouse, Kelly, and Paul Moran and spouse, April; eight grandchildren: Salvatore, Jude and Jaryn Polit-Moran; Aidan and Katelyn Moran; Sean and Mary Kate Quinn and Keri Heenan and four great-grandchildren: Salvatore Jr and Giovanni Polit-Moran; Wyatt and Eleanor Seeley. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son-in-law, Stan Quinn Jr, and beloved granddaughter, Emily Tropeano.
Family will receive visitors at the Parish Hall of Holy Cross Church, Vero Beach, Florida at 9:30 am on Monday, June 23, 2025, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. A reception will follow at the Vista Gardens Clubhouse, 20A Vista Gardens Trail, Vero Beach, FL. Interment will take place at Mother of Sorrows Cemetery in Greenfield Township, Pennsylvania, at a later date.

Kathleen Marie Norman of Sebastian, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends on June 20, 2025, at Orlando Regional Medical Center, Orlando, Florida.
Born on October 6, 1961 in Bethesda, Maryland, Kathleen was the beloved daughter of the late William E. McLaughlin Sr. and Frances A. McLaughlin.
A long time and dedicated healthcare provider, Kathleen earned a Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy from Barry University, Miami FL in 2001. For more than 24 years, Kathleen served the Southeast Florida community. She was passionate about her patients and their health.
Kathleen was a woman of deep faith and active service. She was a member of St. Sebastian Church in Sebastian, FL. Kathleen will be remembered for her unwavering faith, generous heart, and deep love for her family, friends, and community. Kathleen had a gift for conversation, hospitality and was happiest when entertaining family and friends.
Above all, Kathleen was devoted to her family. Her daughter, Britney, was the light of her life.
She is preceded in death by her father, William E McLaughlin Sr.
She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Bradley L. Norman; her daughter Britney N. Norman; her mother Frances A. Harvey McLaughlin, her siblings: William E McLaughlin, Jr., Mary McLaughlin James, Michael W. McLaughlin, James D. McLaughlin and her beloved aunt and uncle Sharon and William Harvey.

Born on April 10, 1932 in Ross, Ohio, she was the beloved daughter of Edwin Brater and Henrietta Bising. She is survived by her husband of more than 20 years, Ronald Fandrey, six stepchildren, and two grandchildren in Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky and Massachusetts.
Jean loved visiting with her grandchildren and nieces and nephews; artistic at heart, she loved to paint and enjoyed collecting jewelry and unusual trinkets.
