Huge crowds once again filled all of Royal Palm Pointe as people flocked to the 14th Annual Florida Craft Brew and Wingfest hosted by Sunrise Rotary Vero Beach. Young and old were kept happy with batches of tasty wings and brews – root beer for the youngsters – satisfying one and all.

Appetites sated, there was also dancing in the streets as folks were kept entertained by bands playing on either end of the wide boulevard. City of Vero Beach officials were up to the challenge of tasting all the entrants in the Best Wings in Vero Award competition, with Big Shots earning first place. Additionally, All Smoked Up won the Spirit Award and South Beach the People’s Choice Award, and the Boil Over Brewers Orange Creamsicle earned the People’s Choice Home Brew Award. Proceeds help fund more than 60 projects supported by the Sunrise Rotary Club, which meets at 7 a.m. Wednesday mornings at the Riverhouse. On April 5, the nonprofit is hosting its Treasure Coast Craft Spirits Festival. For more information, visit Sunrise
