Master’s Academy is proud to introduce the C.S. Lewis Honors Program, an elite academic initiative designed to cultivate intellectually curious, Christ-centered scholars. Launching in Fall 2025, this program will challenge high school students to engage in rigorous academic discourse, develop critical thinking skills, and apply a biblical worldview to contemporary cultural issues.
VERO BEACH, FL – Open to high-achieving freshmen and sophomores, the program provides an advanced curriculum integrating theology, philosophy, literature, history, and leadership.
Students must maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA, submit an application essay, receive a faculty recommendation, and complete an interview with the Honors Committee.
“This program reflects our commitment to shaping students who think deeply, lead boldly, and stand firm in biblical truth,” said Dr. Rick Brewer, Head of School. “By integrating faith with rigorous academics, we are preparing the next generation of Christian leaders to engage with today’s most pressing issues.”
A defining element of the program is its interdisciplinary seminars, where students will explore topics such as faith, reason, ethics and leadership through the works of C.S. Lewis from a biblical perspective. In their senior year, students will complete an intensive Senior Thesis Course, researching and defending a topic before a faculty panel.
Previous theses have examined critical societal issues, including transgender ideology, gun control, biotech vaccinations, AI, and immigration.
The Oxford & Ireland Tour serves as the program’s capstone experience, offering students a two-week academic immersion in the legacy of C.S. Lewis. Students will visit The Kilns, Magdalen College, and the Bodleian Library, engage in lectures with Christian scholars, and explore the literary and theological history of Ireland.
Beyond academics, students will participate in Socratic discussions, apologetics training, service-learning projects, and mentorship opportunities. The program also offers college and career preparation, including scholarship workshops, internships with Christian organizations, and a senior colloquium to prepare students for university-level discourse.
Graduates will be awarded a C.S. Lewis Honors Medal and a special diploma designation in recognition of their achievement.
“As we launch this program, we are investing in students who will stand firm in their faith, lead with wisdom, and engage culture with conviction,” said Upper School Principal Kim Gillette.
Through rigorous academics, deep intellectual and spiritual engagement, and real-world application, the C.S. Lewis Honors Program will prepare students to uphold truth and make a lasting impact.
