
INDIAN RIVER SHORES — A man suffered serious injuries after falling from a two-story roof Tuesday, according to officials with the Indian River Shores Public Safety Department. The man was flown to an area trauma center.
“The patient was conscious and stable when we loaded him in the helicopter,” said Shores Public Safety Director and Chief Tad Stone. An update on the man’s condition was not immediately available on Wednesday.
The incident happened about 8:50 a.m. Tuesday at a beachside property in the 400 block of Ocean Road, Stone said. There were unconfirmed reports that the man was a construction worker.
The man was flown to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce, Stone said.
