Kids Tag Art – Indian River, Inc. Raises $35,950 at “Dinner with a Celebrity Chef” Event

Vero Beach, FL – January 27, 2025 – Kids Tag Art – Indian River, Inc. proudly announces the resounding success of its “Dinner with a Celebrity Chef” fundraising event, held on January 27, 2025, at Fujiyama Steakhouse & Sushi Bar in Vero Beach. The event, which featured 10 local celebrities preparing an exciting hibachi dinner, raised an impressive $35,950 to benefit classroom art education programs in local public, private, and charter schools.

“We are beyond thrilled with the community’s support for this event,” said Carole Jean Jordan, representative of Kids Tag Art – Indian River, Inc. “The enthusiasm and generosity of our attendees help ensure that young students in Indian River County continue to have access to enriching art education experiences.”

With tickets priced at $200 per person, guests were treated to a lively, interactive dining experience where local celebrities showcased their hibachi cooking skills while engaging with the audience. The evening was filled with delicious food, entertainment, and a shared commitment to supporting the arts. Celebrity Chefs included; Jonathan Barkett, Wesley Davis, Eric Flowers, Carole Jean Jordan/Eric Hunter, Lance Lunceford, Gabby Rothman, Leslie Swan/Brandon Hays, John Titkanich, Philip Wolf and Robbie Brackett/Tracey Zudans.

Each year, Kids Tag Art – Indian River, Inc. collaborates with the Tax Collector of Indian River County and area schools to inspire 5th-grade students to create their own front license plate designs as part of a fun and educational competition. The funds raised from events like this help sustain and expand art programs, providing valuable resources to classrooms.

To date, seventeen counties across the state of Florida have raised nearly $2 million for school art programs. Kids Tag Art license plates are available for purchase at the Tax Collector’s Office. The program operates on contributions from sale of the plates and sponsorships.

Kids Tag Art – Indian River, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and all donations are tax-deductible where applicable by law. The organization extends its gratitude to sponsors, donors, attendees, and volunteers who made this event a phenomenal success.
