Coming Up! Vero Opera starts year on high note with ‘La Traviata’

The Vero Beach Opera presents Giuseppe Verdi’s “La Traviata” at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center. This fully staged production features a stellar cast, including Meryl Dominguez as Violetta Valéry and Matthew White as Alfredo Germont. Riverside Theatre presents the new musical “Mystic Pizza” running through Jan. 26 on the Stark Main Stage. Inspired by the beloved 1988 film, the show takes a nostalgic dive into small-town life and love. The Vero Beach Art Club’s Art by the Sea Show and Sale is one of the area’s most anticipated annual events, hosted in partnership with the Vero Beach Museum of Art. It runs this weekend in the museum’s atrium and showcases exceptional artwork by local artist members, all available for purchase. The second annual “Wiffle Palooza Wiffle Ball Tournament” will be held Saturday, Jan. 11, at Leisure Square.
