SEBASTIAN, FL – The Treasure Coast Girls Coalition (TCGC) celebrated a significant milestone with the grand opening of its new headquarters at 457 Sebastian Blvd. This ribbon-cutting event, held on December 04, 2024, marked a new chapter of growth and impact for the grassroots nonprofit dedicated to educating, elevating, and empowering the next generation of female leaders. Over 75 guests, including community leaders, partners, and supporters, gathered alongside the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce to honor the vision of TCGC’s Founder and CEO, Shala Edwards. Her unwavering commitment to creating opportunities for young girls in Indian River County and beyond has been the driving force behind the organization’s remarkable journey.
Key attendees included Indian River County Sheriff Eric Flowers and Marine Bank & Trust President Bill Penney, who joined in recognizing TCGC’s mission and applauded its accomplishments. Guests also enjoyed a beautifully curated event, made possible by the generous sponsorship of George E. Warren LLC, and Wild Thyme Catering.
“Today is a celebration of collaboration, community, and empowerment,” said CEO Shala Edwards. “Our new headquarters is more than a building – it’s a symbol of what’s possible when we come together to invest in our youth, especially young girls, to inspire their potential and fuel their success.”
The new headquarters will serve as the central hub for TCGC’s year-round programming, including after-school and summer enrichment in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM), digital literacy, emotional intelligence, and mentoring initiatives. The space provides state-of-the-art resources for students and families to thrive.
The Treasure Coast Girls Coalition is proud to continue its mission of supporting underserved communities while expanding its reach and impact. The organization extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this moment possible and invites the community to join its efforts to shape the future of young female leaders.
