More than 30 Vero Beach artists will show new work at the fourth annual Viva FOCA! group show Dec. 6-30 at the Center for Spiritual Care. The show opens with an artist’s reception Friday, Dec. 6, from 5 to 7 at the Center, 1550 24th St., two blocks north of the main Public Library in Vero Beach at the corner of 24th St and 16th Ave.
On display will be small paintings, “Perfect for holiday giving,” said FOCA president Sharon Theobald. FOCA is the acronym for Friends of Contemporary Art, a circle of artists, collectors, and art professionals on the Treasure Coast.
“The show features work in many different styles by some of the finest professionals in the region,” says Theobold, herself an art appraiser, former museum director and gallerist.
“This will be the fourth annual Viva FOCA! show,” notes Center director Carol Ludwig. “Three of them will have been held at the Center and it has become one of the favorite and most looked-forward-to exhibitions on our calendar. We’re very excited about it,” she says.
Featured in the show will be works by Maciek von Ato, Aric Attas, Rita Barone, Mary Garvey Beda, Bonnie Bolton, Judy Caldwell, Lisa Cave, Ann Chwatsky, Shelly Davis, Hank Feeley, Elise Geary, Xaque Gruber, Susan Hale, Mary Ann Hall, Gail Jaffe, Jill Kerwick, Barbara Krupp, Shotsi Cain Lajoie, Barbara Landry, Joanne Limoges, Madeline Long, Liz Mayo, Suzy Mellott, Suzanne Roff, Barbara Rowles, Kate Russum, Tim Sanchez, Cree Scudder, Allan Teger, Emily Tremml and Janet Tribus.
