Orchestra performs movie music to film clips on screen
(VERO BEACH, FL) November 18, 2024 – It’s a Wonderful Life, Scrooge, White Christmas, Polar Express — we’ve all got a favorite Christmas movie that makes us feel good every time we see it. Get ready for a heaping helping of those good feelings, when the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra presents Christmas at the Movies, a concert of holiday movie music and film clips on Sunday, December 1 at 3:00 PM, at the Emerson Center, 1590 27th Avenue in Vero Beach, 32960. The program of yuletide classics features music from such titles as White Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street and It’s a Wonderful Life, performed live as the action plays out on the big screen. The program will also include film music and excerpts from Edward Scissorhands, Gremlins and Home Alone. For the younger set, the SCSO brings the excitement of Harry Potter, The Polar Express and Disney’s A Christmas Carol. $35 tickets for the concert are available through the orchestra website at www.SpaceCoastSymphony.org or at Marine Bank & Trust, beachside and mainland branches.
