The Veterans Council of Indian River County (VCIRC) and the West Palm Beach VA Healthcare System (WPBVAHCS) will host a Veterans Resource Fair and Claims Clinic on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Indian River State College Mueller Campus, Richardson Center, 6155 College Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32966.
The Veterans Resource Fair and Claims Clinic will offer a wide range of services under one roof, including VA Healthcare Enrollment, FDVA Claim Examiners, and more. The recently enacted PACT Act expands VA healthcare and benefits for veterans exposed to burn pits and other toxic substances who served during the Vietnam War, Gulf War era, or post-9/11.
VCIRC community partners, including Indian River County Human Services, Property Appraiser & VSO, Mental Health Association, Habitat for Humanity, Treasure Coast Homeless Services Council, United Against Poverty, Wounded Veterans Relief Fund, and others, will also be available to provide resources and assistance. All veterans and their families are invited to learn more about the services offered by WPBVAHCS, initiate the claims process, connect with community partners, and discover how to utilize these earned resources.
Attending this resource fair isn’t just about exploring benefits; it’s about empowering veterans and their families to access the healthcare, financial assistance, and housing support they’ve earned. Events like this bridge the gap between veterans and the vital VA and community resources that can enhance their quality of life.
We encourage all veterans, especially those impacted by recent expansions in benefits like the PACT Act, to come out and discover how these services can make a difference in their lives.
