Vero Beach, FL (November 4, 2024) – Windsor is pleased to announce that Jane Smalley, Marketing Director, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Environmental Learning Center (ELC). The ELC is a bio-diverse, 64-acre lagoon-island nature center whose mission is to educate, inspire, and empower all people to be active stewards of the environment and their own well-being.

A destination for adventure, learning and wellness, the ELC offers a variety of unique opportunities for people of all ages to connect with the natural world. The ELC empowers the local community to restore and protect the Indian River Lagoon, an estuary of national significance, by utilizing and sharing its campus for learning, exploring, collaborating, and celebrating.

At Windsor, Smalley is responsible for ensuring the exclusive private residential community’s iconic brand is upheld across a wide platform of marketing and promotional initiatives. She also oversees public relations efforts and event planning for signature marketing events, including art exhibitions, charity sporting tournaments, arts and culture events, and an ongoing lecture series. Prior to joining Windsor in 2010, Smalley marketed mixed-use and luxury real estate projects for Tavistock Group, Pritzker Realty, and Trammell Crow Company.

“I am excited to join the ELC’s dedicated and passionate board of directors,” said Smalley. “There has never been a more critical time to support the ELC’s efforts to educate future generations on how our actions impact the environment and our health. I aim to build awareness of the ELC’s important mission and offerings within Windsor and the Vero Beach community at large.”

About Windsor

Established in 1989, Windsor is a private residential sporting club community spanning 472 acres of lush barrier island between the Indian River and the Atlantic Ocean in Vero Beach, Florida. In the early 1990s, W. Galen Weston and the Hon. Hilary M. Weston of Toronto, Canada visited South Florida in search of a winter home for themselves and their children. In Vero Beach they became enchanted by a property that over the next decades would become a cherished home, passion project, and ultimately a critically acclaimed residential community. Windsor was designed by renowned town planners Andrés Duany and Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk in the New Urbanism style of residential living. It offers public and community spaces framed by timeless architecture and landscape design that celebrates its tropical and unspoiled setting. Windsor is comprised of 350 homesites in various styles, including village homes, cottages, and country estates, all remarkable for their signature Anglo-Caribbean architecture and gracious living. Residents enjoy privacy and seclusion combined with the finest amenities, exemplary services, and sporting activities.
