Senior Resource Association Welcomes Robyn Orzel as Chief Development Officer

Wednesday, October 23, 2024, VERO BEACH, Fla. – Senior Resource Association (SRA) is thrilled to welcome Robyn Orzel as its new Chief Development Officer. With over thirty years of experience in development and marketing, Robyn has held leadership roles across various sectors, including the arts, education, and human and social services. Most recently, Robyn was the Director of Development/Associate Executive Director at the Vero Beach Museum of Art for more than 20 years.

A dedicated member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and a former chapter President of the Indian River Chapter, Robyn brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to our community. Her expertise in best practices and her passion for philanthropy will be instrumental in guiding SRA to new heights. Robyn is dedicated to helping donors achieve their philanthropic goals by connecting them with meaningful opportunities that enhance the lives of seniors in Indian River County.

“Anyone who lives in Vero Beach knows what a special place it is. Not only does it have the most beautiful beaches and cultural experiences in central Florida, but it is also home to the most community-minded and generous people who don’t think twice about taking care of their neighbors,” she said.

Robyn joined the SRA team and immersed herself in learning more about SRA’s impact on our community. “SRA is a complex organization that provides more services than I was aware of, even after living here for more than 20 years. Meals on Wheels and DayAway are our flagship programs, but our reach extends much further. The Guardianship Program, In-Home Services, Durable Medical Equipment, Community Coach, GoLine, Emergency Alert Response System, and Emergency Home Energy Assistance are just a few examples. SRA continues to grow to meet the needs of our aging community.”

“We are fortunate to have Robyn lead SRA’s Development Department,” said Karen Deigl, SRA President and CEO. “She is a results-driven, hands-on, and highly detail-oriented manager who understands the needs of our county and is committed to meeting and exceeding philanthropic goals.”

“SRA’s 50-year history of supporting the needs of the most vulnerable seniors in Indian River County speaks for itself. It is truly an honor to be part of fulfilling SRA’s critical mission,” Robyn added. “I look forward to sharing SRA’s impact and raising organizational visibility among our friends and community leaders, and contributing to the sustainability and growth of our critical programs.”
