KID’S TAG ART HOSTS ANNUAL AWARDS CEREMONY RECOGNIZING INDIAN RIVER COUNTY STUDENTS

[VERO BEACH, Florida]—Every year, Fifth graders across Indian River County design unique license plates for the Kids Tag Art Program.  Designed to raise money for art supplies in our schools, Kids Tag Art encourages student creativity and educates about Florida’s worthy causes.

Everyone can support Indian River County’s aspiring young artists by shopping at Dillard’s on Saturday, November 16th.  Dillard’s is donating ten percent of all purchases made between 11am and 4pm on November 16th to Kids Tag Art.  And customers who shop the week before can tell the Dillard’s associate who helps them to attribute the purchase to Kids Tag Art.

Fifth graders across Indian River County submit designs for unique license plates that can be displayed on the front of vehicles.

Indian River County public elementary schools are participating, along with several private and charter schools.

“We are thrilled to have Dillard’s contribution and look forward to shoppers supporting Kids Tag Art with their purchases,” said Carole Jean Jordan, Tax Collector and founder and chair of Kid’s Tag Art in Indian River County.

“This program is a special way for our fifth graders to share their talent with the community. We invite everyone to come to Dillard’s and shop for the Arts on November 16th,” Jordan continued.

Kid’s Tag Art – Indian River Inc., is a 501c3 program of the Tax Collector of Indian River County that benefits art programs in our local public, private, and charter elementary schools. The Kid’s Tag Art Program was created to encourage creativity and educate students about Florida Specialty license plates and the worthy causes they support.

To date, seventeen counties across the state of Florida have raised nearly $2 million for school art programs.  Kid’s Tag Art license plates are available for purchase at the Tax Collector’s Office.  The program operates on contributions from the sale of the plates and sponsorships.
