Vero Beach Art Club’s Pointe West Logo Contest Winner

Ms. Dominique Tynes, a talented local artist from Fort Pierce has been awarded first place in the highly esteemed Pointe West Fine Arts Festival “Logo” contest. The award was presented at a recent Vero Beach Art Club meeting where Ms. Tynes’ work was celebrated for its originality, creativity, and technical excellence.

The winning piece, titled “Circle of Life” captivated the judges with its circle of splash paint representing the artists of the Vero Beach Art Club. “We are the circle of life. This is why we create colorful art; to brighten up our community,” stated Ms. Tynes. She also noted, “The golfer is to represent the Pointe West and their unique golf club.” 

The Logo Art Contest, known for showcasing the finest talent of the Vero Beach Art Club’s members included mediums such as oil painting, watercolor painting, sculpture and digital art. This year’s competition drew a diverse and talented group of artists, making the selection process highly competitive. Dominique’s work stood out among the Vero Beach Art Club’s many entries, making this achievement particularly noteworthy.

In addition to the prestigious title, Dominique’s artwork will be the front cover feature on the Pointe West Fine Arts Festival’s ad brochure and on commemorative tee shirts being offered for sale at the Pointe West Fine Arts Festival, November 2-3, 2024. She will also receive a free booth space at the Festival. 

A native of Fort Pierce, Florida, Ms. Dominique Tynes found her artistic roots in Vero Beach. Her educational journey led her to Indian River Schools, culminating in a Bachelor of Fine Art in Fashion Design and Merchandising. Drawing inspiration from her artistic family and her uncle, James Gibson, an Original Florida Highwaymen, Dominique passionately paints abstracts, women empowerment themes, and breathtaking landscapes and seascapes in the distinctive Florida Highwaymen style. What sets Tynes apart is her ability to seamlessly blend monochromatic, quick-paced painting styles with vibrant, rich, and colorful artwork. Collectors recognize the rarity and value of her authentic creations.
