Frederick “Fritz” Hackenburg, 80, Vero Beach

January 08, 1944 – July 18, 2024

Frederick “Fritz” Hackenburg, age 80, passed away July 18, 2024, in Vero Beach, Florida after a shocking cancer diagnosis.

He was born in Easton, Pennsylvania to the late Warren and Mary Frances Hackenburg.

Fritz was a graduate of Florida State University and Baruch College in New York City.

Mr. Hackenburg enjoyed his many years of work as a Securities Analyst with Credit Suisse in New York City. After retirement Fritz moved from Mamaroneck, New York to Vero Beach, Florida.

He is survived by his loving family including his wife, Joanne Hackenburg; daughter, Shelby Hackenburg; and son, Cole Hackenburg.

A Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00p.m., Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, 1655 27th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

Joan A. Conforti, 85

August 29, 1938 – July 16, 2024

Joan A. Conforti, age 85, passed away peacefully on July 16th, 2024, in Vero Beach, Florida.

Joan was born in New York City, New York to Perry and Margaret Entenmann.

She was an avid book reader and enjoyed the simple things in life.

Joan was a member of the St. Helen’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include her loving husband of 66 years William Conforti; sons James Conforti of Dubuque, Iowa and Mark Conforti of Greenville, South Carolina; daughter Jane Saltz of Greenville, South Carolina; sister-in-law Marie Conforti of Vero Beach, Florida; and six grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday July 25th, 2024, at St. Helens Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital located at 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
