The Pareidolia Charity Golf Scramble will begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, July 27, at the Sandridge Golf Club. The event costs $100 to participate and includes lunch and prizes. It raises funds for The Arc of Indian River County, an organization which serves special needs individuals affected by intellectual, developmental, emotional or traumatic brain disabilities. See the musical comedy “Something Rotten” at the Vero Beach Theatre Guild. The musical is set during the time of Shakespeare. It follows Nick and Nigel Bottom who are struggling playwrights in competition with The Bard. Nick consults a soothsayer who predicts that the future of theater is in musicals. While there’s no theater happening at Riverside Theatre this weekend, there still is plenty to keep you entertained. The Comedy Zone presents headliner Jake Klark and feature act Michael Murillo. Klark is known for harvesting humor from his stories of growing up and getting married. Murillo takes on topical humor by skewering religion, relationships and more. The shows start at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday, July 26, and Saturday, July 27. Tickets are $25. There is free parking and no drink minimum. The shows frequently contain coarse language and adult content and are therefore recommended for ages 18 years and older. The shows run approximately 80 minutes.
