Riverside Theatre for Kids presents a condensed, 30-minute rendition of “Shrek the Musical,” showcasing the talents of young performers aged 6 to 11. The community comes together for a worthy cause Saturday, June 29, at United Against Poverty’s 9th Annual Burgers & Brews event. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Riverside Park, Vero Beach, and will serve up gourmet burgers, craft brews, and live music by Metalucious. Beyond the culinary delights, activities include a classic car show, adult backyard games, an apple pie eating contest, and a free Kid Zone. Admission is free, with options to purchase slider punch cards and beer sampling tickets. Five slider punch cards cost $25 to $30 and tickets for unlimited beer samples cost $40 to $45. A VIP pass is $150 and includes air-cooled seating, private restrooms and more.
