Notice of Intent to Apply for 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant Program

Vero Beach, FL (5/29/2024)… Youth Guidance Mentoring Academy intends to apply for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant Program through the Florida Department of Education to support after-school and summer enrichment programming for Indian River County youth.

The purpose of the 21st CCLC program is to establish or expand community learning centers that provide students with academic enrichment opportunities to help them meet state and local standards in core content areas, in addition to programs that support youth and career development during non-school hours, and family support services that encourage parent engagement. 

Youth Guidance will apply by May 31, 2024. If granted, the funds will support year-round tutoring services, after-school programs for life skills and workforce development, and S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) related summer camp programs.
