ORCA event at Triton

On February 24, 2024, the Ocean Research & Conservation Association (ORCA) will be holding their annual fundraising event, ORCA’s Explorer’s Experience, at Triton Submarines in Sebastian, FL. Guests will enjoy dinner, drinks, live music and a unique evening full of deep-sea wonder, surrounded by state-of-the-art deep-sea submersibles. A silent auction will feature exploration themed packages, and a one-of-a-kind custom paddleboard created and donated by Dragonfly Boatworks will be raffled off.

Founded in 2005 by marine biologist and deep-sea explorer Dr. Edie Widder, ORCA is a Vero Beach-based non-profit organization focused on exploring new ways to protect the ocean, starting right here with our very own precious ocean estuary, the Indian River Lagoon.

About ORCA:

ORCA is dedicated to the protection and restoration of aquatic ecosystems and the species they sustain through the development of innovative technology, science-based conservation action and community education and outreach. As the nation’s first technology-based marine conservation organization, ORCA’s niche in responding to large-scale deterioration of the marine environment is to: Collect accurate and scientifically defensible data on water quality and its impact on the marine ecosystems; Provide the data to the public and decision makers in an easily understandable format; And engage communities in marine conservation action. By combining innovative technology, applied science, and community outreach, ORCA is leading the way in protection and conservation of our valuable coast, estuaries and oceans—saving these precious habitats for the generations of tomorrow.
