Edith Deal Cueto, age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 30th, 2023.
She was born in Tampa, Florida and has resided in Vero Beach since 1980.
Edith worked in the medical insurance field. She enjoyed her time relaxing and laying by the pool. Edith listened to oldies country music and enjoyed dancing with her friends.
She was a member the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the American Legion, and the Moose Lodge.
Edith is survived by her sons Bryan Cueto (Angel), Giovanni Cueto (Krystal); daughter Cynthia Santacroce (Anthony); grandchildren Lindsay, Lauren, & Montrey; great-grandchildren Ellie & Baby Girl Parris.
She was predeceased by her husband Anthony Cueto, Jr.
A gathering to celebrate the life of Edith will be held on Saturday, January 6th, 2024, at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm.

Bette Lorraine Laub, 97, Vero Beach
October 29, 1926 – January 01, 2024
Bette Lorraine Laub, age 97, passed away January 1, 2024, at VNA Hospice House.
She was born October 29, 1926, in North Hampton, Pennsylvania to the late Garrett and Valeria Laub.
Bette enjoyed her 28 years of work as a Secretary for Dorney Furniture in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her nieces, Brenda Praetzel, Carole Robinson, Jane Lawrence, Janice Bankos, Barbara Zappe; nephews, Dennis Laub and Chip Mehi; thirteen great nieces and nephews; and seven great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Jean Peters and Honore Mehi and brother, Garrett Laub.

Jerry Dean Maeglin, 79
July 06, 1944 – December 21, 2023
Jerry Dean Maeglin, age 79, passed away December 21, 2023 at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital.
He was born July 6, 1944 in Muscatine, Iowa to the late Otto and Wilhelmina Maeglin.
He was a graduate of Muscatine High School and he attended Eastern Community College.
Mr. Maeglin served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from August 1964-September 1967.
He worked in the University of Florida Entomology Labs 2004-2015.
Jerry was a member of the Vero Beach Veterans. A four-time past president of the Vietnam Veteran’s Association, a six time Commander of the Vero Beach Veterans, a Master Mason, and was Santa for 25 years to raise funds for Safe Space.
Survivors include daughters, Wendy Combs; sons, Jeff and Craig Maeglin; step-daughter, Jennifer Schirard; brother, Robert Maeglin; sister, Twyla Woodward; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brothers, William and Richard Maeglin.
Inurnment, with military honors will take place at South Florida National Cemetery on January 29, 2024 at 12:30 p.m.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Vero Beach Veterans, Inc., 2500 15th Avenue, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

Brenda K. Wheeler, age 56, passed away December 30, 2023, at Long Point Park Campground.
She was born September 25, 1967, in Vero Beach, Florida to the late Herbert and Betty Pack.
Brenda was a graduate of Vero Beach High School. She worked many years as the Office Manager at Bobby’s Automotive.
Survivors include her husband, Don Wheeler; daughter, Kamela Harris; sister, Kandyce Rapp; brother-in-law, Kevin Rapp; and nephew, Ryan Rapp.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Tabernacle Ministries, 51 Old Dixie Hwy, Vero Beach, FL 32962.

Erin Ann Dean Rose, 36, Vero Beach

Erin Ann Dean Rose, age 36, passed away December 31, 2023 at Holmes Regional Medical Center.
She was born November 12, 1987 in Vero Beach, Florida. Erin was a local and enjoyed serving at Uncle Dom’s.
Erin loved traveling the country. She had a smile that could light up the world and will be missed greatly.
Her heart was filled with kindness, whether it was a homeless person or her family.
Survivors include her husband, Cory Rose; son, Sawyer Ostendorf; mother, Patricia Dean; sister, Robin Mosena; niece, Suella and nephew, Benjamin.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. on January 20, 2024 at Magnolia Manor.

We were all fortunate to have her in our lives, though not long enough.
