GHO Home’s president Bill Handler went to extraordinary lengths to preserve the live oak canopy in his newest island subdivision – Seaglass – near Disney Resort and Wabasso Beach. As a way to celebrate the magical environment he and his team preserved, Handler decided to decorate the entire subdivision – which has completed model homes but no residents yet – for Christmas, with light-bedecked oak and palm trees and other yuletide decorations. The display was open to the public on December weekends, providing some competition for the famous Tara Plantation annual Christmas light show west of town, and a steady stream of families drove though Seaglass to enjoy the colorful displays and Christmas music.
