Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County Announces Dynamic Leadership Duo: Patrick Chapin and Liz Smokowski Assume CEO Roles

(Vero Beach, Florida) – The Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County (HSVB) proudly welcomes two visionary leaders to its helm, marking a new era of compassion, innovation, and growth. Liz Smokowski takes the reins as CEO of the shelter, while Patrick Chapin assumes the role of CEO for the Foundation.

Liz Smokowski: Liz Smokowski brings a wealth of experience in animal welfare and shelter management, having successfully overseen a shelter in Longmont, Colorado for almost 10 years. Her passion for animal welfare is not only evident in her extensive background but is deeply rooted in her compassionate and mission-centered approach.

“Joining the Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County is an honor and a privilege. I am excited to work alongside a dedicated team to further our mission of providing a safe haven for animals in need and promoting responsible pet ownership,” Smokowski expressed.

Patrick Chapin: Patrick Chapin, with his years of expertise in finance, fundraising, and revenue generation, is poised to lead the Foundation to new heights. Known for his innovative and creative approach, Chapin is eager to leverage his skills to support the vital mission of the organization.
