Motorcyclist killed in two-vehicle crash on Oslo Road

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A 31-year-old Fort Pierce motorcyclist was killed after he collided with a pickup on Wednesday, Florida Highway Patrol troopers said. No other serious injuries were reported.

The crash involving a black 2019 GMC Sierra truck and a gray 2007 Harley Davidson Sportster motorcycle happened about 5:07 p.m. at Oslo Road and 10th Court Southwest in south county.

The truck’s driver, a 38-year-old man, and his passenger, a 35-year-old woman, both from Vero Beach, were traveling westbound along Oslo Road, approaching 10th Court Southwest, troopers said. The motorcyclist was headed eastbound.

The driver of the truck attempted to make a left turn onto 10th Court Southwest when the vehicle collided with the motorcycle, troopers said. Troopers said the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck’s driver was not hurt, while his passenger had minor injuries, according to officials. Troopers continue to investigate the fatal crash.
