Costumed pets make for a wicked awesome H.A.L.O.-ween!

River dressed up as Wednesday.

Pet lovers and their furry friends had a howling good time during the H.A.L.O.ween Haunted House and Fall Festival at the Indian River Shores Public Safety Complex and Community Center to benefit H.A.L.O.

No-Kill Rescue. Both pups and people dressed as their favorite alter egos, from a feline running for president to a pug doing its best Wednesday Addams routine. Visitors enjoyed an afternoon chock-full of fun, including hayrides, a costume contest and a very haunted house set up by public safety employees inside the firehouse. And, of course, there was an assortment of adoptable animals charming the crowd with tail-wagging enthusiasm, each looking to make that special connection with someone willing to give them a not-so-spooky permanent home. On Dec. 9, H.A.L.O. will host the Bow Wow Meow Luau fundraiser at Magnolia Manor. For more information, visit HaloRescueFL.org.
