‘Bewitching Broadway’ on Oct. 21 & 22 and Messiah Reservations Now Open!

The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra taps into musical theater’s darker side when they present a concert of Bewitching Broadway music on Saturday, October 21 at 7:00 PM at the Scott Center for the Performing Arts in Melbourne and Sunday, October 22 at 3:00 PM at The Emerson Center in Vero Beach.

The Halloween season program of fiendish Broadway favorites will feature Michelle Knight and Cesar De LaRosa, singers well known to Central Florida’s biggest theme parks. Knight’s extensive resume includes performances on and off Broadway and touring with hit shows, while De La Rosa’s professional a capella group, Voiceplay, enjoys over one million Youtube subscribers.

Bewitching Broadway will showcase hits from shows such as Sweeney Todd, The Phantom of the Opera, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Jekyll & Hyde, Young Frankenstein, Beauty and the Beast, Cats, Wicked, Wizard of Oz, Nightmare Before Christmas, Hunchback of Notre Dame, and more.

The audience is invited to dress in costume for the concert of phantoms and hocus-pocus. $30 tickets for Bewitching Broadway are available through the orchestra website at www.SpaceCoastSymphony.org or at Marine Bank & Trust in Suntree and Vero Beach. Tickets at the door are $35. Concertgoers aged 18 and under or with a college ID are admitted free to every SCSO concert.

Space Coast Symphony Orchestra Conductor and Artistic Director, Aaron T. Collins can’t wait to welcome Broadway stars, Michelle Knight and Cesar De La Rosa for Bewitching Broadway. Both professionals have sung diverse theatrical roles and are either current or former singers at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.

“This is going to be such a fun concert,” said Collins. “Broadway music is always full of excitement and emotion. Add two expressive singers like Michelle and Cesar and these musical stories will come to life.”

The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra is one of only a handful of U.S. orchestras to perform year-round. Concertgoers aged 18 and under or with a college ID are admitted free to every SCSO concert.
