Students at Indian River State College will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month on Tuesday, October 3, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at IRSC’s Pruitt Campus in Port St. Lucie.
The celebration features mariachi music, Hispanic foods and desserts, traditional art and crafts, along with cultural exhibits representing Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain, and Uruguay.
This year’s celebration also features a Painting Station where students will be expressing themselves creatively with inspiration from paintings by Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. IRSC Pruitt Campus is located at 500 N. California Boulevard in Port St. Lucie. The festivities will be held in the courtyard.
