In October 2023 Gallery 14 Welcomes Two New Artist-Owners, Jessica Leto and Evan Schwarze

To open their 16th season Gallery 14 is happy to introduce two new owner-artists, Jessica Leto and Evan Schwarze.  Their works will be given a special expanded exibit in two shows entitled:  Color Confessions: Abstracts by Jessica Leto, and Light and Leisure: Impressionism by Evan Schwarze. These exhibits will run concurrently from Tuesday Oct 3 to Friday Oct 27, with an opening reception on Friday Oct 6 from 5-8pm as part of the First Friday Gallery Stroll.  All are invited.

Jessica’s work is both ethereal and haunting, as she explores the relationships between color, space and movement, often incorporating the sheen of gold leaf with intuitive strokes and experimental mark making.  She holds a BA in Studio Art from Florida Atlantic University, and has a background in graphic design.  Originally from Virginia, Jessica is now rooted in Vero Beach, FL.,   Evan, who was raised in Dayton Ohio as the son of an art critic and English literature teacher, holds a BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design.  With work ranging from representational to abstract, Evan applies paint to canvas with brush and palette knife using transparent glazes and thick opaque strokes – creating vibrations of light.  He is especially known for his impressionistic style that transforms us to tropical waters.

Also featured will be Gallery 14 artist-owners:  Lila Blakeslee, Barbara du Pont, Barbara Landry, Mary Ann Hall, Deborah Polackwich and Dorothy Napp Schindel, as well as represented artists: Walford Campbell, Joan Earnhart, Terry Green, Viola Pace Knudsen, Mia Lindberg, Francis Mesaros,  Michael Robinson, Carol Staub, and artist-sales associate Jo Zaza.  Gallery 14 is located at 1911 14th Avenue in the Downtown, Historic District of Vero Beach, FL.  Open hours: Tues – Fri, 10-5pm and Sat 10-4pm. Closed Sunday/Monday AND open by appointment. Phone 772-562-5525. Visit us at www.gallery14verobeach.com, as well as on Facebook and Instagram.
