The Historic Heritage Center has stood the test of time. Built in 1935, this 88 year old icon, in the heart of downtown Vero Beach, has gone through a fire in the 40’s and was saved from demolition in 1991 by Millie Bunnell and the Indian River County Historical Society. The Heritage Center was revived and once again enjoyed by everybody thanks to the assistance of our community. The non-profit Vero Heritage, Inc. was founded shortly thereafter. Although the building is owned by the City of Vero Beach, it is our duty as a non-profit to care for this architectural treasure.
The Heritage Center has once again undergone some wonderful modifications thanks to the support of donors. The two enclaves on either side of the paver patio will be changed into bride and groom suites (gentlemen and ladies lounges). Everything one would need for a wedding or event would be available on-site, including a caterer, rental and event design company, and bourbon bacon brownies. The main hall will be promoted as an elegant wedding. Axe throwing and mobile golf with a TV on the side will also be available, ensuring that nobody misses a football game while touring the Heritage Center.
Our neighbors across the lawn, 21st Amendment Distillery, will be joining in on the festivities and will be offering a signature cocktail specifically made for the Heritage Center and Indian River Citrus Museum.
Please join us as we celebrate the Heritage Center, on September 17, 2023 from 1:00pm-3:30pm.
