The heavy-hitting cultural institutions are serving up some appealing offerings in the coming few days. But before we get to those, how about a low-impact spot? That’s Cool Beans Brew, which offers classes taught by local artists. This weekend, it’s a Paper Bead Bracelet Workshop taught by Sophia Tranoris. She will lead you in turning wire and paper into fun works of wearable art. You’ll be led step by step and end up with a memorable bauble. All supplies and instructions are provided. The class runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, at Cool Beans Brew, 1115 Delaware Ave., Fort Pierce. $40 per person. For more information or to register, call 772-828-2355 or visit CoolBeansBrew.com.

The Vero Beach Museum of Art presents “Cork, Canvas and Company,” which runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays. The series is a social event as much as an artsy one. Spend the evening with friends while you are taught step-by-step lessons in art. Participants are invited to bring their own beverages and snacks, but all art materials are provided. The Aug. 24 workshop is “Underwater Adventures,” the Sept. 7 workshop is “Wise Old Owl,” and the Sept. 21 workshop is “Fall Foliage.” All three of these workshops are led by Camy De Mario. The cost is $45 per person. Registration for fall art classes begins Monday, Aug. 28, for classes that run Oct. 9 to Dec. 17. There is a full schedule of classes and workshops during the week and weekends. Subjects include art history, ceramics, drawing, painting, photography, yoga and qigong. And the Museum Studios presents “Terrific Textures” exhibition from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26. There is free admission to that. The Vero Beach Museum of Art is at 3001 Riverside Park Dr., Vero Beach. Call 772-231-0707 or visit VBMuseum.org.

The deadline is drawing near to submit video auditions for your children to participate in Disney’s “Finding Nemo JR.” at Riverside Theatre. This will be the Treasure Coast premiere of this beloved Pixar/Disney classic. The show features new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, the duo who won hearts and minds with “Frozen” 1 and 2, “Coco” and “Wandavision.” The storyline follows Nemo, a clownfish who wants to explore the world. There’s also Dory, the sea turtle Crush and the Tank Gang. While the rehearsals run from Oct. 10 to Nov. 30, and the show runs from Nov. 30 to Dec. 3, you need to get your video audition in by Sept. 1. On that video, your child needs to sing 32 measures of a fun, up-tempo music theater song or holiday classic a capella. These are great opportunities for children to explore their own creativity, to learn teamwork, to make friends and have fun. Moreover, the show will be presented as a fully-staged production on Riverside’s large Stark Stage. The program is designed for children 6 years and older. Tuition is $300. There is limited tuition assistance available. Riverside Theatre is at 3250 Riverside Park Dr., Vero Beach. Call 772-231-6990 or visit RiversideTheatre.com.
