Lowe’s Awards Indian River Habitat with $22,000 Grant Toward Critical Home Repairs

(Vero Beach, FL) – Indian River Habitat is pleased to announce that Lowe’s has awarded its Neighborhood Revitalization program with a $22,000 grant toward critical home repairs and safety.

Since 2009, Lowe’s has been a proud advocate and ally of Indian River Habitat’s mission, aiding in the effort to keep families in their homes.

“As someone who is in the field day in and day out, there is such a need for roofs right now in our area,” says Karyn Bryant, Indian River Habitat’s Home Repair and DeConstruction Manager.

“This funding will help keep these repairs affordable for IRC homeowners. Thank you to Lowe’s as you are touching one home at a time in a very impactful way,” Bryant said.

The funding from Lowe’s is part of a two-year, $6 million donation to Habitat for Humanity International to support home repair and preservation efforts in owner-occupied homes. Through this partnership, more than 75 local Habitat affiliates will complete more than 480 projects this year to address critical health and safety issues in homes across the U.S. Since 2003, Lowe’s and Habitat have worked together to help more than 18,000 people build or improve a place to call home.
