Oceanfront Sea Colony condo has ‘rare set of attractive features’

“Our condo provides a rare set of attractive features,” says Ralph Savarese of the oceanside home he and wife Ann Worley own at 200 E. Sea Colony Dr., Unit 2A in Sea Colony.

The views are a big part of what drew the couple to this “coveted end unit, which provides ocean views in multiple rooms,” explains Savarese.

“There’s a water view from pretty much every room,” agrees Dan Downey, who has the home co-listed along with Anne Wallace, both of the O’Dare Boga Dobson Group at ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, noting this unit has much to offer.

From the “highly prized, sunny southern exposure” to the “wide, unobstructed, ocean views,” to “an unusually large patio with an ocean-facing perimeter of 60 feet,” according to Savarese, the outdoor space and vistas are quite spectacular.

The condo is set on the oceanside in the small Sea Colony community, and the daily and nightly sound of waves washes away the stress of the outside world.

The elevator opens into a vestibule with double doors, providing a proper buffer before you move deeper into the condo.

A small hallway creates a sense of separation between the east and west wings of the condo, with the dining room, kitchen, living room and powder room in its center – a layout ideal for entertaining.

Guests can take complete control over the west wing, with two en suite bedrooms and the laundry room. The guest rooms share a sunset balcony, while one also shares a terrace with the family room, with spectacular ocean views.

The gourmet kitchen is open on both sides, allowing plenty of natural light to filter through and making the most of the ever-changing natural world.

It’s hard not to have a sunny disposition when enjoying breakfast in the nook adjacent to the kitchen.

Noting the fine finishes throughout, Downey points out that the height of the ceilings, which are unusual for a condo, further open up the space to make you feel you are part of the outdoors.

Heading into the family room, you’re drawn to the ocean vistas seen through an L-shaped glass wall. With a corner unit, you have an extra-large balcony and broader ocean view, says Downey.

You can sit by the cozy gas fireplace in the family room and watch the Atlantic on rough wintery days or throw open the sliding glass doors and let the ocean breeze flow through in pleasant weather.

The primary en-suite is just off the family room with a walk-in closet, jetted tub, shower, water closet with a bidet and dual sinks to complete the elegant suite. With access to the oceanfront balcony, you can watch the sunrise from your bed or wander out at night and watch the moon’s reflection on the water as the waves crash along the shoreline.

The balcony is an extension of the condo with a summer kitchen, so you can cook outdoors and enjoy dinner alfresco, year-round.

“The south corner gets a lot of sun,” adds Downey, so it’s lovely to have both covered and open areas.

With a second-floor unit, you have “direct beach access. It is only a few steps from the patio to the water’s edge, notes Savarese.

Downey says the unit’s proximity to the clubhouse makes it quick and easy to work out in the fitness center and take a dip in the pool. There’s also a one-bedroom guest suite available for a reasonable fee when you have an overabundance of guests and need some extra space.

Sea Colony is a guard-gated community with 16 single-family homes on the west side of A1A and 12 condos in a single building on the east side. The oceanfront clubhouse has a pool, spa, tennis and pickleball courts, fitness center, guest suite and private beach access.

It’s just a few minutes’ ride to Ocean Drive shopping and dining, the Vero Beach Museum of Art, Riverside Theatre and everything else Vero has to offer, on the island and mainland.
