Expect The Unexpected – A Collaborative Evening at the ELC

Spring Fling Artist Meet and Greet and Gifford Youth Orchestra 4:30-6:30 PM

Ballet Vero Beach Performance 6:30-7:30 PM

Vero Beach, FL–The ELC Artist Meet and Greet for the Second Annual Spring Fling Art Show will feature the opportunity to meet multiple nature-inspired artists and see their art in two galleries.  Gifford Youth Orchestra will provide music throughout the first two hours and Ballet Vero Beach will be staging a performance on the Thomas R. Schidel Education and Event Pavilion stage at 6:30 PM. 

The collaborative creative event is free and open to the public and an RSVP is requested. Guests are able to meet the artists participating in the second annual Spring Fling nature-inspired art show while enjoying refreshments and live music. Thirty-three different artists are exhibiting paintings, mixed media pieces and photography in the Lagoon Room and Tidal Gallery.  

Awards for the art show are scheduled to be announced in the Lagoon Room at 5:30 PM. First, Second and Third Place will be awarded in the three categories. The Gifford Youth Orchestra will be playing musical selections for everyone’s enjoyment during the event. Complimentary beverages and appetizers will be available during the Artists Meet and Greet.  

Guests will move to the Thomas R. Schidel Education and Event Pavilion at 6:30 PM for a performance by Ballet Vero Beach.  The Spring Fling Art Show will be at ELC until May 31st and all of the art pieces are for sale.  ELC is open Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM.   

The ELC’s mission is to educate, inspire and empower all people to be active stewards of the environment and their well-being. Founded 35 years ago, the ELC is committed to sharing the importance of protecting and restoring natural resources. From toddlers to teenagers and adults, the ELC has opportunities for learning through outdoor adventures, eco-tours, wellness classes, a speaker series and special events. The 64-acre non-profit island nature center is located at the western edge of the Wabasso Bridge on County Road 510 in Vero Beach, Florida.
