The Grass Roots, a popular band from the 1960s, will perform Thursday, March 2, at the Emerson Center in Vero Beach. The Grass Roots originated as studio session musicians. But time and tide took them to the surface of pop, folk and big, brassy rock. The First Friday Gallery Stroll will be held 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 3, in the Downtown Vero Beach Arts District. Saint Edward’s School will hold its 31st annual Trunk Show this weekend. There will be more than 50 vendors from across the country showing unique items for home as well as beautiful clothing and accessories for men, women and children. The Trunk Show begins with a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres kick-off party 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, March 3. Admission to the party is $50 in advance or $60 at the door. A ticket to the kick-off party also includes admission to the Trunk Show itself but, more importantly, it gives you first crack at all the vendors.
