GYAC’s Silent Disco, Celebrating 25 Years of Changing Lives, Changing Futures

GIFFORD, Fla. – Wednesday, December 28, 2022 – Get ready to take a walk down memory lane with the Gifford Youth Achievement Center (GYAC) as they celebrate 25 years of Changing Lives, Changing Futures with a silent disco, presented by the Bernard Egan Foundation. The annual fundraiser will be held at the Oak Harbor clubhouse on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. It certainly will be ‘A Night to Remember.’

What is a silent disco? Rather than using a speaker system, GYAC will broadcast the greatest hits of the 70s, 80s, 90s and today through a radio transmitter while guests tune into one of three channels playing on wireless headphones.  The best part – those not wearing headphones hear no music, giving the effect of a room full of people dancing in silence.

All proceeds benefit the Gifford Youth Achievement Center which runs year-round educational programs for more than 200 children in kindergarten through twelfth grade, as well as adult and senior programs.

Admission includes open bar, GYAC’s famous silent disco, live performances, passed hors d’oeuvres, a 3-course plated dinner and fabulous raffle prizes.

Whether you are new to GYAC’s silent disco or returning for round three, chances are you’ll want to stay… “all night long (all night), all night (all night),” as the famous Lionel Ritchie once sang.

Tickets are $200 per person and can be purchased online at www.mygyac.org. For more information, call 772-794-1005.
