Indian River County Rotary Clubs 46th Annual Homestay

For the past 46 years Rotarians from Indian River County Rotary Clubs have invited incoming District Governors Elect from around the world to stop in Vero Beach and Sebastian either before or after their extensive leadership training at what’s called the International Assembly held in Orlando. Their visit to Vero Beach and Sebastian is called Homestay.

This January, Homestay 2023 will welcome District Governor Elects from the Netherlands, England, Germany, Northern Ireland, and Norway! During their five-day Homestay, the visiting Rotarians will be hosted in local Rotarian homes, visit local attractions, and enjoy the friendship and hospitality that is typical of Rotarians everywhere in the world.

They will be treated to an authentic Southern BBQ, enjoy a leisurely lunch at Humiston Park by the Rotary Peace Pole, experience Old Florida Cuisine at historic Marsh Landing after a fun Capt. Bob’s Airboat Adventure, tour McLarty Museum, McKee Botanical Gardens, and Triton Submarine. During the last day of their stay all five Indian River County Rotary Clubs will gather to honor them at a Farewell Luncheon at Regency Park.

Local Rotary Clubs begin their 97 th year of service to the residents of Indian River County and to the world. With five clubs and well over 200 Rotarians, the world’s largest and best community service organization has never had a more positive impact in Indian River County.
