Indian River County, FL – Special Olympics Florida will host the Special Olympics Aquatic Championships on October 1-2, 2022, at the North County Aquatics Center. The Indian River County Parks and Recreation Department is now recruiting volunteers for this amazing event. Volunteers will help with staging athletes, timing and awards.
The volunteer hours available are:
Saturday, October 1 North County Aquatic Center
7:00 am-noon 11:30 am – 4:30pm
Saturday, October 2 Intergenerational Center
5:30 pm – 9:30pm (opening ceremony & dance)
Sunday, October 2 North County Aquatic Center
8:00 am – 2:30pm
The Special Olympics Florida Inc. and Indian River County, Parks and Recreation enjoyed a 16-year relationship bringing this 2-day event to North County Aquatics Center. “The County is a proud participant in this event. I encourage anyone who is available to volunteer to join the team and experience a rewarding investment of your time,” said County Administrator Jason Brown.
