The painters of “Treasure Coast Plein Air” group show is up through September 26th at the Main Street Vero Beach Gallery. The group meets every Thursday somewhere on the Treasure Coast to paint the local landscape in the open air. The paintings are done over a three-hour period. Their members are at all levels of expertise and show as a group to support and encourage emerging artists. We have 10 local artists in this show…some are full time professionals and some have only been painting for a few months. Plein air painting is a challenge due to the elements of nature and the “performance” aspect. We often have visitors who watch us paint.
